OUR HISTORY

Libreri & Son Landscape Contractors is committed to exemplary workplace practices in our own business. A family- run business since the beginning, Libreri has grown to be a mid-size landscape design, installation and maintenance firm in Illinois. Emigrating from Italy, Dominick Libreri founded Libreri Landscaping Inc. in 1974 to provide landscape maintenance services to residential and commercial properties of Chicago’s North Shore and Northwest areas. After 30 years of service Dominick’s son Iganzio joined the firm with his father and established Libreri & Son Landscape Contractors, Inc. Under this partnership, Dominick and Ignazio have not only achieved the finest in quality landscape services but through this collaboration have been awarded in landscaping architectural design, maintenance and hardscapes.

In early 2000, Libreri Landscape began to expand in architectural design by specializing in sustainable installations of Waterfalls, Rain Gardens, Bioswales, Permeable Hardscapes and intensive & extensive green roofs. The firm recruited a LEED® Accredited Professional, whose focus is sustainable environments.
